We’re thrilled to welcome two phenomenal women as official patrons of Finesse Stage and Screen: Brenda Edwards and Janette Manrara.

Currently starring alongside Djalenga Scott-Fines in the UK tour of Chicago, Brenda and Janette are more than household names — they’re creative forces, with decades of experience across stage, screen, and broadcast.

Brenda’s story is one of true resilience and powerful voice — both literally and metaphorically.

From gospel roots to X Factor semi-finalist, Brenda’s career has taken her to starring roles in Chicago, Hairspray, Carousel, Carmen Jones, and We Will Rock You. Away from the stage, she’s a familiar face on ITV’s Loose Women, BBC’s Songs of Praise, and QVC, where she launched her fashion label BeU by Brenda Edwards.

Brenda’s journey through personal tragedy, breast cancer treatment, and the challenges of a career in entertainment only deepens her empathy — making her an incredible role model for young performers finding their voice.

Janette Manrara

A dynamo of dance and one of the UK’s most loved TV presenters, Janette brings spark, heart, and stage wisdom to Finesse.

From banking halls to the BBC Ballroom, Janette’s rise has been anything but ordinary. After her breakthrough on So You Think You Can Dance (USA), she lit up the stage with Jennifer Lopez, Glee, and Burn the Floor, before joining Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.

Over the years, she’s partnered with stars like Jake Wood, Peter Andre, and HRVY, reaching the Strictly final and winning the Christmas Special Glitterball along the way.

Now co-hosting It Takes Two, Janette brings not only knowledge of the industry, but also warmth, grace and a deep belief in the power of dance to uplift and transform.
